Hello

And a warm welcome, i'm Helen.

Thank you for checking out this tiny corner of the internet. My own journey into the world of supporting others came about primarily as a result of my own personal experiences. Whilst i work with a range of issues, i focus on supporting people who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, autistic burnout, the impact of (un)masking, childhood sexual abuse, cPTSD, rejection sensitivity dysphoria, and perfectionism. Many of whom are late-identified autistic or ADHD — or quietly wondering if they might be. I've trained with the National Institute of Clinical Behavioural Medicine and the Trauma Research Foundation in Boston, Massachusetts. Alongside my private practice, i'm a sessional therapist at Trauma Healing Together, and i undertake regular CPD and receive clinical supervision on my work.

I'm always seeking to cultivate an awareness of the many challenges faced by neurodivergent people, particularly within academic, healthcare, and workplace settings. Although everyone's experiences will be unique, various commonalities often centre around miscommunications and a lack of understanding in relation to sensory needs. Being on the receiving end of bullying, micro-aggressions, harassment and abuse can lead to feelings of isolation, invalidation, disconnection, and hopelessness. And that's where counselling,  therapeutic coaching or mentoring can help.
