Academic Mentoring

Helping you navigate the academic landscape

Academic mentoring for autistic people is designed to provide individualised, strengths-based support that honours neurodivergent ways of learning, thinking, and thriving. I understand that academic environments often prioritise conformity over creativity and can unintentionally create barriers for autistic students. I work alongside you to identify strategies that align with your natural thinking styles, communication preferences, and sensory needs—whether you're 18 or 81, navigating college, university, or postgraduate studies. This is a space where your differences are seen as assets, not obstacles.

From executive functioning support and time management to advocacy, self-advocacy, and navigating social or institutional challenges, mentoring is flexible, collaborative, and affirming. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, you and I co-create personalised systems that work with your brain, not against it—building confidence, resilience, and academic autonomy along the way. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, under-supported, or simply want guidance from someone who truly gets it, I'm here to help you succeed on your own terms.
